In his determination to further consolidate the pledge made to his constituency to continue and sustain the monthly I-Care Food Bank free food distribution programme, inspite of the current economic situation in the country, member, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives; Honourable Babajimi Benson, has revealed plans to increase the beneficiaries of the monthly food bank programme to 700 beneficiaries.
Hon Benson disclosed this at the distribution of the April ration of the I-Care free monthly food distribution, which took place at his constituency office in Ikorodu, on Wednesday, April, 2017, where 300 bags containing Rice, Salt, beans, and other essential food commodities were distributed to the vulnerable and less-privileged across Ikorodu constituency.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Ikorodu Oga Radio expressed gratitude to Honourable Jimi Benson.
Honourable Jimi Benson further revealed what motivates the philanthropic initiative, despite the challenging economic situation in the country.
The organisers of the I-Care Food bank project stated that the plan to increase the number of beneficiaries to 700 would be achieved in partnership with other organisations in Ikorodu.
