LEGACY PROJECT: IKORODU LG SET TO BUILD CULTURAL AND ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE IN IKORODU

Ahead of the change of guards at the local governments in Lagos State in 2025, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina has pledged to leave multiple legacy projects behind when he is leaving office.

The Council boss said this yesterday while addressing news men shortly after he hosted a Stakeholders’ Consultative Forum on the 2025 Budget.

Adeshina hinted that one of such projects is a proposed Cultural and Entertainment Center within the Council Secretariat or at the Council’s open space at Ita-elewa.

He noted that the project would be done in partnership with a European Company and would positively impact on the economy of the council.

‘I would inaugurate a Committee and direct the Engineer to inspect the land behind the legislative building. If the land can accommodate the structure, we would make the Cultural and Entertainment Centre an extension of the legislative building’, he said.

‘But if it is insufficient, I would appeal to my leaders to permit me to construct the Cultural and Entertainment Centre in Ita-elewa’, he added.

‘I have been in talks with European and French countries over this developmental project. This is why I need to deliberate with my leaders. I strongly believe that for this one project, Ikorodu Division will never forget my administration’, he submitted..
