Nigeria’s leading telecommunications giant, MTN Nigeria has donated 300 bags of cement to the Igbe Road Joint CDA Rehabilitation Committee as the company’s support towards the community’s road rehabilitation effort.
Representatives of Igbe road community leaders had in August made an appeal to the telecommunications company to support its self-help efforts at rehabilitating the collapsed road, which has remained impassable for many years.

Shortly after the delivery, Pastor J.A. Adeniyi, Chairman IRRC expressed appreciations to MTN on behalf of Igbe Road Rehabilitation Committee (IRRC) and thanked the company for the gesture.
‘We appreciate MTN and Huawei for this good gesture to this community. We take it as demonstration of integrity and social welfare to us. God bless their institutions’, he said.
Most residents of the community could not hold back their joy at the show of concern by MTN Nigeria.

Meanwhile, residents of the community have been able to raise a otal of N4,583,320 (Four Million, Five Hundred and Eighty Three Thousand, Three Hundred and Twenty Naira Only) through individuals and corporate donations since the rehabilitation effort began.
There are also material donations towards the road rehabilitation as follows;
1.IBLCDA – Donated 1 tipper for a day to move sand evacuated from the drainage from Igbe Junction to Unic Point with labour for 5 Mallams. The tipper did 5 trips.

4. Bolaji Isikalu – 6 nos of (2×4)ft Banners for Fund Raising
5. Madam Ogunyinka – A shop and meeting space donated as site secretariat office
6. Engr Abisoye Olatunji (Excavator)
7. Hon. Babajimi Benson (Grader)
8. Alhaji Taiwo Gbajumo (Pallet for culvert and Roller for compacting sand).
9. Mr. Agbaje – Bricklayer Services for the casting of Culvert
10. MTN – 300 Bags of Cement
