Newly inaugurated Lagos State House of Assembly member, representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, Hon Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo, popularly called OGA has released his maiden press statement to express appreciations to his constituents for their support for his election and inauguration.
‘On the heels of the official inauguration as the legislator representing Ikorodu Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, I write to you today with immense gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility’, he said.
‘It is indeed an honour and privilege to serve our community in this esteemed capacity, and I am humbled by the trust you have placed in me’, he added.
Ogunleye equally called for collaboration from residents of Ikorodu Constituency 1 to enable him succeed in his new role.
‘This is reaching out to each one of you, my constituents that electioneering is over and its time we join all efforts together as we embark on the journey of shaping a greater Ikorodu together’, he stated.
‘Ikorodu is not just a geographical location; it is our home, our roots, and the foundation of our collective aspirations. As proud members of this vibrant constituency, we share a common vision of progress, development, and prosperity. We recognize that our success as a community is deeply interconnected, and our achievements as individuals are inextricably linked to the well-being of our fellow constituents’, he noted.
He also called on his predecessor and former Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon S.O.B Agunbiade to partner with him through his institutional knowledge and guidance which according to him can deliver the Greater Ikorodu dream, when combined with his own fresh perspectives.
‘I also wish to take this time out to appreciate the past occupant of this role, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade who ensured a peaceful transition. I also urge you to lend us your wisdom and guidance as we seek to build progressively. Your institutional knowledge, combined with the fresh perspectives I bring onboard, will be instrumental in achieving our shared vision for Ikorodu’.
Speaking further, he said, ‘with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the centre and the successful re-election of our performing Governor; Babajide Sanwo- Olu. I say we have never had a better chance to progress than now’.
He further pleaded for inputs and support from Ikorodu Constituency 1 residents towards his successful tenure.
‘To my fellow constituents, I invite you to actively engage in the legislative process. Your ideas, concerns, and feedback are invaluable in shaping the policies and decisions that will impact our daily lives. I Shall seek and inform you always as we legislate for the betterment of all of us in Lagos State’.
‘In the spirit of unity and collaboration, let us put aside our differences and focus on the greater good. Let us prioritize the welfare of our constituents. Above all, lets work towards solutions that benefit everyone. Together, we can overcome any challenges that lie ahead and build a future that reflects the aspirations and dreams of each member of this great constituency’, he concluded.
