PRE-RAMADAN FAST: REP BENSON’S I-CARE FOOD BANK SUPPORTS 500 RESIDENTS, MUSLIM FAITHFULS WITH MONTHLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Over 500 residents of Ikorodu Division, comprising the aged, widow, unemployed youths, people-living-with-disability yesterday benefitted from the monthly I-Care Foundation Food Bank, sponsored by the Chairman, House Committee on Defence, Rep Babajimi Benson.

A large chunk of the beneficiaries were made up of Muslim faithfuls who will be starting the annual Ramadan fasting soonest.

Speaking on the consistency of the initiative, Director-General of the I-CARE Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwoola noted that a food was one of the basic needs of man, hence the commitment of Rep Benson in sustaining the monthly food support which started in 2016.

Expectedly, many of the beneficiaries who were drawn from the six council areas in Ikorodu Federal Constituency showered prayers and praises on Benson for always supporting the vulnerable.

The exercise was witnessed by top APC Leaders across Ikorodu Division, party members and members of the I-Care Foundation who ensured that all beneficiaries were catered for.
