RELIEF AS IKORODU FEDERAL LAWMAKER, REP BENSON FLAGS OFF 3.8 KM OLU-ODO, IGBO AGBOWA ROAD TO COMMEMORATE 36TH IGBOGBO DAY CELEBRATIONS

Relief has finally come to residents of the very deplorable and long-neglected Olu-odo Estate, Igbo-Agbowa and Lajo connecting roads in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA of Ikorodu Local Government.

This follows the formal flag-off of the construction of the deplorable road by Ikorodu Federal Lawmaker, Rep Baba Jimi Benson yesterday.

Residents of the densely populated Olu-odo Estate and its adjoining communities have had to go through hardships on the road for decades, until Benson’s intervention yesterday.

The Director-General of the iCare Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola who represented Benson at the flag-off event described the road as a very strategic connecting road to Abuja, Lajo, Offin and other parts of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, hence the intervention.

He further noted that the road flag-off was in commemoration of the 36th Igbogbo Day Celebrations. While the road reconstruction was in line with Benson’s commitment to bringing smiles to the faces of his constituents.

He therefore charged residents and the entire community stakeholders to cooperate with the Contractor for smooth operation and timely delivery of the road.

The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Sesan Daini in his brief remarks thanked Benson for his tireless efforts towards putting smiles on the faces of his constituents, particularly in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.

He noted that the road when completed will improve economic activities of the adjoining communities.

The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Abdulsemiudeen Orimadegun Kasali who was represented equally eulogized the federal lawmaker while assuring him of the continued support of the good people of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.

A major highpoint of the event was the formal flag-off of the road reconstruction by the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Builder Sesan Daini with the support of Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola and other dignitaries in attendance.
