ROAD INSPECTION: COUNCIL CHAIRMEN COMMEND REP BENSON’S INFRASTRUCTURE DRIVE IN IKORODU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon Sulaiman Kazeem Olanrewaju and his Ijede LCDA counterpart, Hon Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba have commended the Member, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the House of Reps, Hon Babajimi Benson for his unprecedented commitment to Infrastructural development in Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

The Council Chairmen who spoke separately during the inspection tour of on-going road projects facilitated by the federal lawmaker in their council areas described Benson as a beacon of hope for the millions of residents.

Ikorodu West LCDA Chairman, Hon Olanrewaju who spoke on the sidelines of the road inspection at Asolo area of Ikorodu West LCDA expressed deep appreciation to Benson for embarking on the rehabilitation of Asolo Road, a route he described as strategic to the economic prosperity of the Council area.

Similarly, the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba equally praised the federal lawmaker for providing quality representation to the good people of the Constituency.

She disclosed that the 4.5 kilometer Abule-Eko / Ewu-Owa road project was capable of transforming the entire axis, while noting that it would also promote economic prosperity by reducing productive time wasted on the bad road.

‘This road is a lifeline for our people. We are deeply thankful to Rep. Benson for prioritizing it. With better roads, we’ll see more businesses flourish, and the community will grow’.

‘The economic benefits of the project will revitalize local commerce and attract new investment into our areas’, she added.

Speaking on the road inspection tours, the Chairman, House Committee on Defense noted that good road networks were essential to the economic prosperity of any society, hence his efforts at facilitating more road projects to the Ikorodu Division.

Benson said, ‘These critical infrastructure projects, being constructed simultaneously, will significantly ease transportation challenges in the axis and connect the 5 LCDAs and 30 wards in Ikorodu Division’.

He equally noted that the two road projects would stimulate rapid growth of economic activities in the two council areas.

‘This project goes beyond building roads; it’s about building bridges between communities and improving lives. The people of Ikorodu deserve roads that are durable, efficient, and built to serve future generations’, he stated.

Benson was accompanied on the tour by the Chairman Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, Chairman Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, iCare Foundation members, led by the Director-General, Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola and other community stakeholders from the two council areas.
