Prominent Ikorodu Division personalities and public office holders have felicitateswith an elder-statesman and former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe on the occasion of his 81st Birthday.
Ogunlewe, who is also a former Senator, representing Lagos East Senatorial District was eulogized for being a great nationalist and political role model for the upcoming generations.
Senator, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Tokunbo Abiru celebrated Ogunlewe’s remarkable journey of accomplishments in the civil service and politics in Nigeria.
‘Sir, your life has been a testament to excellence and dedication. Your remarkable journey of accomplishments encompasses a distinguished career in civil service as a retired Permanent Secretary, a tenure as a distinguished Senator, and your impactful role as the Honourable Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Through these endeavors, you have left indelible marks at the community, state, and national levels’, he said.
‘Your unwavering contributions to party politics and political development have solidified your legacy, earning you a revered position in the Governance Advisory Council (GAC). Your insights and steadfast commitment to the betterment of our nation inspire us all’, he added.
Abiru concluded by praying that the Almighty God continues to bless the Igbogbo Crown-prince with good health, a sound mind, and abundant prosperity, as he age gracefully.
Similarly, the Chairman, House of Reps Committee on Defence, Rep Babajimi Benson also extended his warmest congratulations to Senator Ogunlewe, describing him as a distinguished member of the Governance Advisory Council in Lagos State and a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Benson wrote, ‘Your exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of Ikorodu Division have been a beacon of hope to the younger generation and a pillar of support to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in both Ikorodu and Lagos State’
Similarly, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina also sent his goodwill message to one of the prominent Ikorodu Division APC Apex Leaders.
Adeshina also wrote, ‘I join the world to celebrate a phenomenal Leader with 81 years of grace and accomplishments, Senator Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe, member, Governor Advisory Council, Lagos, former Senator Lagos East constituency, and former Minister of Works, Nigeria’.
‘We appreciate your legacy, leadership and selfless service to humanity.
I pray God continues to keep you in good health, with great wisdom, grace and bless you with many more years of robust service to humanity’, he added.
