The Chairman , Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions has extended his felicitations to the Publisher of Oriwu Sun Newspaper, Nigeria’s foremost community newsreel.
Abiru felicitated with the Doyen of Community Journalism on a statement he personally signed and shared with Ikorodu Oga Radio.

I join other eminent personalities in Ikorodu and across Nigeria to celebrate the doyen of community newspapers in Nigeria, Chief (Dr) Monzor Kolawole Olowosago(The Baaroyin of Ikorodu), Publisher, Oriwu Sun Newspaper, on his birthday.
I salute his exploits and contributions to journalism in Nigeria, particularly community news reporting and publishing , where he has made a name for himself.
Despite high mortality rate of newspapers in Nigeria, from inception in 1985, Chief Olowosago weathers the storm, nurturing the Oriwu Sun Newspaper brand to become a household name in Ikorodu, Lagos State and across Nigeria.
On this auspicious occasion, I join his family, friends, colleagues, and numerous well-wishers in wishing him a happy birthday. I pray that Almighty Allah grants him sound health as he ages gracefully. Ameen.
