Rep Babajimi Benson, Member, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the House of Reps has promised to increase the road projects he has facilitated to Ikorodu Federal Constituency so far from 54 to 70 before December, 2024.
Benson made the promise while addressing stakeholders, made up of political office holders, CDA executives, religious leaders, APC Ward and local government executives during a quarterly town Hall meeting at his Constituency Office in Ikorodu on Saturday.
Benson, in his address noted that residents of Ikorodu Division delivered massively for the ruling All Progressives Congress both at the State and Federal levels during the last general elections, pledging that they would get their well deserved dividends of democracy, in the form of infrastructural projects.
Giving an update on his road interventions so far, Benson reported that he has successfully facilitated a total of 54 roads till date, while pledging to increase the number of road projects to 70 on or before December.
Drawing a rousing applause from the excited audience, Benson hinted that work will soon commence on the 4.5 kilometers Abule-Eko / Ewu-Owa road project in earnest.
Benson equally commended his constituents for staying away from the just concluded #EndBadGovernance national protest. He disclosed that the good people of Ikorodu Division, by their actions have publicly demonstrated their faith in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, promising them of more federal projects in due course.
The meeting which aimed to foster dialogue and address community concerns was attended by Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, member, Lagos State House of Assembly Ikorodu Constituency 2, Chief Imams across Ikorodu Division, CAN representatives, APC LGA Chairmen, CDC Executive Members, and other community stakeholders.
CDC Chairman, Ikorodu Division Prince Adeniran Ogunbanwo in his brief remarks commended Benson for putting smiles on the faces of residents of Ikorodu Federal Constituency. He also requested completion of outstanding road projects, emphasizing their importance for the community’s development.
Ogunbanwo equally appealed to Benson to mount pressure on the contractors handling roads facilitated by him to work within the project timeline, emphasizing the importance of the roads to the communities.
The Lawmaker, representing Ikorodu Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro AMA and the duo of Igbogbo/Bayeku and Ijede LCDA Chairmen, Builder Sesan Daini and Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba in their separate remarks commended Benson for his exemplary and impactful representation. They also commended residents for showing maximum understanding with the government in the face of the current economic hardships in the country.
Similarly, Ikorodu Division APC Chairman, Hon. Olasunkanmi Tijani, on behalf of all other LGA Chairmen and APC Chieftains across the Division expressed appreciation to the federal lawmaker for raising the bar of legislative representation in Ikorodu Division.
TJ as he is fondly called specifically commended Benson for touching every single ward in Ikorodu Federal Constituency with his people-oriented projects.
